A Filipino domestic helper on Sept. 18 pleaded not guilty to the charge of committing an act outraging public decency. A Kwun Tong court is set to try Nelson S.J. on Nov. 14-15 for allegedly taking a video of a woman who was on the escalator at the Megabox mall in Kowloon Bay in December 2016. The prosecution said they would be presenting a five-minute video footage, and witnesses in court. The video clip, the prosecutor said, was retrieved from the defendant’s phone.

THE Observatory on Sunday morning hoisted T8 or the No. 8 Northeast Gale or Storm Signal 8 as typhoon Khanun was estimated to move closer to Hong Kong. "This means that winds with mean speeds of 63 kilometres per hour or more are expected from the northeast quarter," the Observatory's latest bulletin said. The typhoon "is forecast to pass about 200 kilometres southwest of Hong Kong in the afternoon."

The storm signal, it said, is expected to remain in force for most of the time during the day.

aaaTHE Observatory issued the StrongWind Signal No.3 as tropical storm Khanun moved closer to Hong Kong.

"This means that winds with mean speeds of 41 to 62 kilometres per hour are expected," the Obsevatory said.

THE Observatory has hoisted the Signal No. 1 warning as a tropical depression is expected to move closer to Hong Kong later today.

In its latest advisory, the Observatory said the tropical depression will "skirt more than 300 kilometres to the southwest of Hong Kong."
