aaaPharmaceutical company Moderna on Monday claimed the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) it manufactured was 95% effective, based on interim data from a late-stage trial. The US biotech company made the announcement a week after Pfizer Inc's reported that it’s vaccine was also more than 90% effective.  Unlike Pfizer’s vaccine, Moderna’s experimental drug does not need ultra-cold storage, making  it more accessible.

Residents in Cagayan and Isabela were left displaced and distraught after Typhoon Vamco (Philippine name: Ulysses) slammed into the two provinces and inundated their communities.

The number of deaths after Typhoon Vamco (Philippine name: Ulysses) hit the Philippines on Nov. 12 rose to 39, Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief-of-Staff Gen. Gilbert Gapay said Friday.
