Under Cap.599H, the Hong Kong government required travelers from high-risk areas such as Bangladesh, Nepal, Indonesia, Pakistan, Philippines, South Africa – and just recently US and Kazakhstan – to provide test results showing that they are negative of COVID-19 before they can be allowed to board their flight to Hong Kong. They must also have a room reservation in a hotel where they can stay for the whole duration of their 14-day mandatory quarantine.

Employers are mandated to shoulder the costs of the COVID-19 test as well as the expenses for the 14-day stay in the hotel. They must also provide foreign domestic workers their food allowance. Employers must fill out or sign the form here stating their compliance with this latest directive from the Immigration Department
