2 reported dead, 12 injured in North Point bus accident

Two people were reported dead while 12 others  were injured after a school bus plowed through them earlier this afternoon in North Point.

Initial reports said the incident happened at around 1 p.m. at the junction of King’s Road and Cheung Hong Street and left two dead and 12 injured (and not 14 as initially reported), according to local media.

A video footage of the incident showed the driver getting out of the bus which he had parked on the sloping Cheung Hong street. The hand brake apparently did not work and the bus moved down the road. The driver tried to stop the bus with his bare hands but was unsuccessful.
