Health authorities detected four preliminary positive cases of Covid-19 in the ambush lockdowns on Sunday night.

Three of the cases were found in Wai Lee Building in Quarry Bay, where around 860 residents have gotten tested. Seven of their close contacts were sent to quarantine centres.

Some 90 households in the building did not respond to authorities during the lockdown period.

A resident of Cheong Lok Mansion in Hung Hom—another residential building under a lockdown order—tested preliminarily positive for Covid-19. Around 370 residents from the building had undergone testing.

Over 1,140 residents of Hoi Yu House in Mong Kok also got tested for Covid-19 after they were restricted from leaving their homes during the lockdown period, but no one tested positive.
