464 to take exams for teachers in September

NEARLY 500 have registered to take the Licensure Examinations for Teachers in September, Labor Attache Jalilo dela Torre said on Monday.

In a text message to Hong Kong News, Dela Torre  said that after the registration closed on Aug. 20, registered LET applicants were 464, of whom 245 would be taking the exams for secondary teachers; and 219 would be taking the exams for elementary teachers.

The LET would be held on Sept. 24 at the Delia Memorial School Hip Wo in Kwun Tong.

Dela Torre had asked the Professional Regulation Commission to extend the registration deadline from Aug. 14 to Aug. 20.
