Don’t put away those jackets yet.

After a humid weekend, the temperature in Hong Kong is expected to drop this week to as low as 12 degrees Celsius on Friday, according to the Hong Kong Observatory.

The Observatory said the temperature will begin to drop to 18 degrees Celsius tomorrow (March 6), 14 degrees on Thursday (March 8), and 12 degrees on Friday (March 9).

“A cold front will cross the coast of Guangdong tomorrow morning (March 6) and bring appreciably cooler weather to the region,” the Observatory said.

“A replenishment of the northern monsoon is expected to reach the coastal areas on Thursday. Temperatures over the region will drop further,” it added.

The Observatory said the weather in southern China will improve and become dry starting this Friday and the good weather will continue until early next week.

The temperatures in Hong Kong during March usually range from 17.2 degrees to 21.4 degrees Celsius.
