Hong Kong recorded 26 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the city Saturday, including two cases from the Kwai Tsing container terminals.

The shipping clerk and the crane operator from the terminal who got infected were not linked to the Wang Kee Port Operation Services, where more than 50 cases have been recorded.

Dr. Chuang Shuk-kwan from the Centre for Health Protection said while the daily tally of cases is going down, she told Hong Kong people to avoid having more close contact with other people.

The health official also said residents who recently submitted samples for testing should stay at home as much as possible.

A city-wide mass test is slated to begin on Sept. 1, targeting people with coronavirus who do not show any symptoms.

The daily tally brought the total number of cases in Hong Kong to 4,657. The city also announced 76 deaths following the death of an 82-year-old woman.
