A 34-year-old Filipina domestic worker who arrived on Jan. 26 tested positive for the coronavirus while under quarantine, health officials reported Monday.

She is among the 32 new Covid-19 cases the Centre for Health Protection logged as of Monday midnight. Hong Kong has recorded a total of 10,668 infections.

The Filipina entered the city via Cebu Pacific flight 5J272. She is the sole imported case from the Philippines logged today—the three other infections from overseas hailed from Pakistan.

Of the 28 local Covid-19 cases, six had no traceable source of infection. Among those Covid-19 cases with a traceable source is a worker in the airport’s third runway construction site.

Around 130 students staff at a school in Shau Kei Wan will have to be sent to a quarantine facility after a student tested preliminarily positive for Covid-19.

The student was among the three cases detected in the Quarry Bay lockdown on Sunday night. Another student from the same building earlier tested for Covid-19.

CHP communicable disease branch head Dr. Chuang Shuk-kwan said the students attended exams together in the school hall during their infectious period in late February.
