All flights leaving Hong Kong International Airport, except those that have completed boarding procedures, have been cancelled, local media reported.

Quoting the Airport Authority-Hong Kong (AA), RTHK reported this afternoon that the airport authority suspended the remaining outbound flights today after anti-government protesters occupied parts of the airport starting at 1 p.m. today.

The AA said it had established an emergency response center and urged affected passengers to check for updates through its website (https://www.hongkongairport.com/en/) or “My Flights” mobile app.

Flights bound for HK that are already in the air will be able to land but those that are still about to depart are expected to be delayed.
