In light of the destruction Typhoon Vamco (Philippine name: Ulysses) caused in Luzon, Isabelle Daza went out of her way to gather relief goods in Hong Kong for the displaced people who were directly affected by its onslaught.

Daza and her son, Balthazar, went to Hong Kong last March to join her husband, Adrien Semblat, who is the vice president of Adidas and Reebok in Hong Kong and Macau.

The actress shared on her Instagram account how proud she is to be a Filipino during these trying times and how grateful she is that collective efforts are being done by her countrymen.

“It is so inspiring to see how selfless and generous our countrymen are not only with donations but with their time (and on their days off.). Maraming salamat po sa inyo [Thank you very much],” she said.

Since then, Daza has been collecting donations to send to all those badly affected by Ulysses.

“When I asked the aunties what they wanted for lunch they replied, ‘I just donate that money to the victims.’ I choked up with a lump in my throat,” Belle added.

On Nov. 12, typhoon Ulysses brought destructive winds and heavy rains battering different provinces in Luzon and submerging communities under floodwater.
