After hovering at around 20 degrees Celsius over the weekend, the temperature in Hong Kong is expected to drop to as low as 14 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, according to the Hong Kong Observatory.

The Observatory said the city’s temperature will hover between 14 degrees and 22 degrees Celsius during the middle of the week. As of 2:48 p.m. today (March 19), the temperature was 24.3 degrees Celsius.

“A cold front will cross the south China coastal areas tomorrow morning. The associated northeast monsoon will bring generally fine and appreciably cooler weather to the region in the middle and latter parts of this week,” the Observatory said.

“A fresh easterly airstream will affect the coast of Guangdong during the weekend and it will be cloudier over the region,” it added.

The temperature in Hong Kong during the month of March usually ranges from 17.2 degrees to 21.4 degrees Celsius, according to the Observatory.
