“Under the influence of the northeast monsoon, it will be cold over southern China today and tomorrow,” the Observatory said.

“The monsoon is expected to moderate slightly in the latter part of this week, temperatures will rise gradually over the coastal areas of Guangdong,” it said.

“A replenishment of the monsoon will bring generally fine and dry weather to southern China early next week,” it added.

The Observatory said temperatures in HK will range from 13 degrees to 18 degrees Celsius today before going up later in the week.

On Sunday, the temperature will range from 17 degrees to 23 degrees Celsius, it added.
