Temperatures in Hong Kong are expected to go down further to 12 °C on Sunday (Dec. 8), according to the Hong Kong Observatory (HKO).

The HKO said that it will be fine and dry on Sunday with temperatures ranging from 12°C to 18°C. Temperatures today (Dec. 4) will range from 14°C to 21°C. Tomorrow, it will be from 12°C to 17°C.

“There will be a few rain patches tomorrow and temperatures will fall significantly. It will be rather cool tomorrow night,” the Observatory said.

“The weather will become cold gradually and windy over Guangdong in the middle and latter parts of the week,” it said.

But the Observatory added that, with the northeast monsoon moderating, temperatures are expected to rise gradually over southern China early next week.

The HKO said Tropical Cyclone Kammuri will move across the central part of the South China Sea and weaken gradually today and tomorrow.

Tropical Cyclone Kammuri struck the Philippines yesterday, leaving four people dead and nearly 500,000 persons evacuated. It also led to the suspension of operations at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport and the cancellation of 192 international flights and 329 domestic flights.
