Owtel Store is set to open its first shop in Taiwan – right in the heart of the island’s capital – to cater to the needs of the growing number of Filipinos working there.

To be located at the bustling Zhongshan North Road in Zhongshan District in Taipei, the Owtel Store will be opened early this month. It will also be the first store that will exclusively serve the needs of nearly 80,000 Filipinos working and living in the island, many of whom are in Taipei.

“We are very excited to open our first store in Taiwan as we continue to serve the huge Filipino community overseas,” said David Chen, Owtel founder and chief executive officer.

“We will draw from our long experience in serving the Filipino community in Hong Kong and we will bring the same amount of dedication and excellent service to the Taiwan-based Filipinos,” Chen said.

The Owtel Store will offer products, smartphones, appliances, electronic devices, gadgets, remittance services as well as cash vouchers.

The Taiwan store is also the latest in Owtel’s initiatives to become a household name by expanding its geographical reach.

Owtel has also recently opened its first store in Macau, located at the popular area of R. De Alfandega.

Owtel shops and stores are also in the Hong Kong, Philippines, and Singapore.
