Junior New System, the hip-hop dance group from the Philippines that became famous for dancing on high heels, will be among the international performers in the highly-anticipated Hong Kong Chinese New Year parade tomorrow evening.

The all-male dance group, which reached the semi-finals of America’s Got Talent last year with their jaw-dropping performances while on six-inch heels, will display their talents at the 2019 Cathay Pacific International Chinese New Year Night Parade.

The parade begins at 8 p.m. at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre before winding its way along the streets of Tsim Sha Tsui.

Junior New System won international renown when they got the coveted golden buzzer in Asia’s Got Talent in 2015 and won major awards in the 2016 World Championship of Performing Arts.

The night parade is one of the Hong Kong’s most anticipated annual events with extravagant floats and spectacular performances from local and foreign groups.

This year’s theme is “Best Fortune. World Party” and the parade will include nine magnificent floats and 20 local and international groups Austria, China, Hungary, Korea, South Africa, Spain, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, USA and the Philippines.

Before the start of the parade, there will be a street party with games and roving street performances along the parade route starting at 6 p.m.

For those who want to watch along Haiphong Road, Nathan Road, and Canton Road, use Exits A,C, D, and E of the Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station.

For those who will not be able to watch the night parade, you can still catch the Junior New System when they perform at the Lam Tsuen Wishing Square in Tai Po at 1:40 p.m. on Wednesday (February 6) and at Temple Mall North in Wong Tai Sin at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday (February 7).
