Get those jackets ready.

The Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) said it expected the weather in the city to be cooler and drier next week, with a low of 19 degrees Celsius next Wednesday (October 31).

The HKO said an anticyclone system will bring brighter weather to China’s southern coastal regions in the next couple of days. The temperature on October 31 will range from 19 degrees Celsius to 25 degrees Celsius.

“A cold front is expected to reach the coast of Guangdong on Saturday. Under the influence of the associated northeast monsoon, the weather over the region will remain fine and dry next week,” the HKO said.

“It will be slightly cooler in the morning and at night with rather large temperature difference between day and night,” it added.

The weather in HK during November is usually cool and dry with temperatures ranging from 19 degrees to 24 degrees Celsius.

It seldom rains but there might be drizzle in areas as the city’s late autumn weather transitions into winter, which usually begins in mid-December.
