Another Filipina domestic worker declared ‘COVID-19 free’

One more Filipina domestic worker has been discharged after her latest tests showed negative for COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus which has infected at least 256 people in Hong Kong.

The Philippine Consulate General said on March 20 that the Filipina was “certified COVID-19 free.”

This means only one Filipina domestic worker remains confined at the hospital for treatment against  COVID-19.

Prior to this, the PCG said on March 12 that two other Filipinas who tested positive for COVID-19 have been released from the hospital.

There were five Filipina domestic workers who contracted the virus after their respective employers tested positive for the disease. The first Filipina domestic worker who was infected with COVID-19 has been discharged on March 6.
