The Indonesian Consulate General has confirmed that the domestic worker who reportedly committed suicide this morning in Tuen Mun was Indonesian.

The consulate said it was still waiting for the results of the police investigation into the death of the worker, who was found by her employer at Goodrich Garden in Tuen Mun.

Local media reported that the domestic worker’s employer found her body at around 10:30 a.m. She had hanged herself.

The employer called the police but a responding ambulance crew certified that the worker was dead.
