A 55-year-old Filipino domestic worker died in a traffic accident in the New Territories last night (October 28).

The police said the helper was brought to the Prince of Wales hospital after a white car hit her while she was crossing the street in Tai Po. She died at the Prince of Wales hospital this morning.

Welfare Attache Virsie Tamayao said the Philippine Consulate General had already informed the helper’s family about what happened and that she also had a cousin working here in Hong Kong.

The woman had injuries in the head, arms, hips, and legs and was unconscious when she was brought to the Prince of Wales Hospital. The police said she was certified dead at 6:56 a.m. today (October 29).
