Filipina domestic workers who flew in from UK, France test positive for COVID-19 in HK

The Department of Health confirmed to Hong Kong News on April 9 that two Filipina domestic workers who arrived in Hong Kong from the United Kingdom and France, respectively, have been infected with COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus.

Case 897 stayed in the United Kingdom from March 13-April 1. She experienced sore throat and started to have cough on April 1. She arrived in Hong Kong on April 4. She lived at Tower 2, Island Crest in Sai Ying Pun.

Case 921, on the other hand, went to France and was there for a little over two months since Feb.1. She arrived in Hong Kong also on April 4.

She started to have fever and cough on March 31. She is now confined at the Ruttonjee hospital.

Hong Kong has 960 confirmed cases of COVID-19 infection as of April 8, at least 23 are Filipinos, seven of whom have been discharged.
