Foreign domestic workers march in Victoria Park on Labor Day to demand a $5,000 minimum monthly wage and regulated working hours.

MIGRANT domestic workers are set to press the Hong Kong government for a nearly $700-increase to the minimum allowable wage.

A Facebook post on the page of Asian Migrants’ Coordinating Body said the group would be campaigning for a $5,000 MAW. The Hong Kong government in 2016 raised foreign domestic workers’ MAW to $4,310.

The group added that it would also push for working hours regulation, and the improvement of their living and working conditions.
