PH Ambassador to Singapore to replace Catalla as PCG chief

PHILIPPINE Ambassador to Singapore Antonio Morales is set to replace Consul-General Bernardita Catalla as the head of the Philippine Consulate here in Hong Kong.

Meanwhile, Vice-Consul Alex Vallespin is also leaving Hong Kong for a post in Guam.

Catalla has been confirmed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Philippines to the Lebanese Republic by the powerful Commission on Appointments in May.

She is still awaiting her papers to be formally transferred to the Philippine Embassy in Beirut.

Vallespin, meanwhile, will leave his Hong Kong post on Sept. 16.
