Second Filipina domestic helper infected with COVID-19

Another Filipina domestic worker tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease or COVID-19.

The Information Office of the Department of Health confirmed to Hong Kong News that the 90th person in Hong Kong who was infected with the virus is a 29-year-old Filipina domestic worker.

Her employer is the 85th case confirmed on Feb.25. The 60-year-old woman is a member of the Hong Kong Jockey Club.

The domestic worker, however, is now in stable condition.

The Centre for Health Protection said she has “good past health” and lives at Block 4, Swiss Towers at 113 Tai Hang Road, Tai Hang.

She developed fever on February 16 and was admitted to the Ruttonjee Hospital on Feb.25.

Prior to her, a 32-year-old Filipina domestic worker contracted the virus on Feb.18. She lives at Quarry Bay with her employer, who also tested positive for COVID-19.
