THE Hong Kong Observatory has lowered the storm warning signal to T3 as Pakhar’s winds continued to weaken, its latest advisory said.

“Under the influence of Pakhar’s rainbands, occasional gale force winds will still prevail over the southwestern part of Hong Kong at first,” the Observatory said.

The strong wind signal no.3, it added, would remain in force for sometime.

Meanwhile, a thunderstorm warning remains in place until 3:30 p.m.

Pakhar is the second major storm to hit Hong Kong within the week, following severe typhoon Hato, which brought the city to a standstill.
