Another Filipino domestic worker tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the Philippine Consulate General said on March 23, bringing to three those who have been confirmed to have contracted the disease within the same day.

The confirmation for the third case came merely hours after the Hong Kong Health Department told the PCG that two more Filipinos have tested positive for COVID-19.

All three are domestic workers and are recorded as cases 327, 336 and 345.

The news came a day after a Filipino musician contracted the virus, which has so far infected at least 356 people in Hong Kong and killed four.

Since February, there have been 10 Filipinos who have tested positive for COVID-19, four of whom have been released from the hospital.

The PCG said they are “extending all the necessary assistance” to the six who remain in confinement.
