Another Terror Attack In Spain

Following the Thursday terror attack at Las Ramblas, Barcelona Spain in which a white FIAT van mowed down shoppers and tourists causing 14 deaths, including one of the 100 reported injured, another attack occurred within hours in the coastal town of Cambrils, Catalan province.

Five suspected terrorists have been shot dead by the Spanish police after they drove into pedestrians. Six bystanders and a police officer were injured, two seriously. Some of the suspects, who were travelling in an Audi A3, wore what appeared to be explosive belts, later found to be fake.

Joaquim Forn, the Catalan Interior Minister, said the attacks were linked to another previously unreported incident on Wednesday evening wherein one person was killed after an explosion at a house in Alcanar, South of Barcelona.
