Kambal joins HK Affordable Art Fair 2023
Kambal Gallery has joined the Affordable Art Fair (AAF) 2023, a decade-long tradition of making art accessible to a broader audience in a 3-day event from May 18 to 21 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Twins Anna Bernarte Pendry and Irene Bernarte Haagen have been running the Kambal Gallery in Hong Kong since 2017, surviving many challenges in the art market.
Keeping abreast of the ever-dynamic global art scene, they do their homework studying the market, and their client’s wants and interests.
For the present art market, they acknowledge that there has been considerable interest and leap in comes of the works of women artists owing to their pioneering style, unique identity, meticulous technique and methodology, and intrinsic contemporary style.
Given that the art scene is becoming more gender neutral along with female artists being known for their immense abilities, Kambal Gallery is enthusiastic to continue nurturing the art lover’s natural curiosity for exploration.
The Affordable Art Fair is highly popular among art lovers in Hong Kong and takes place on a similar scale compared to other art fairs like Art Basel or Art Central2.
However, AAF provides a unique opportunity for art lovers to discover the joy of collecting art and supporting emerging artists.
There were over 90 galleries this year at the 10th-anniversary edition of affordable art, highlighting local emerging artists, including international galleries from 15 countries.
Kambal Gallery is the only Filipino gallery that was exhibited this year.
