HK logs 7 new Covid-19 cases, all but one imported
The Centre for Health Protection reported seven new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday, all but one of them imported.
A newly arrived domestic worker from the Philippines has tested positive for a variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. A spokesperson for the Health Department said the 41-year-old Filipina entered Hong Kong on Mar. 28 via Cebu Pacific flight 5J272.
Two others were found with the coronavirus variant: an arrival from Pakistan on Mar. 28, and a 22-year-old male seafarer member onboard KLM flight KL847 from Ukraine.
The other imported cases were a domestic worker from Indonesia, another seafarer from Ukraine, and an aircrew member from Turkey.
The Health Department spokesperson said the local case—a 44-year-old female—is not related to any large clusters.
Tuesday’s tally took the number of Hong Kong coronavirus cases to 11,462 so far.
