6 new Covid-19 cases logged include arrival from PH
Hong Kong recorded six new Covid-19 infections on Sunday—four imported and two locally transmitted—pushing the city’s coronavirus caseload to 11,737.
Data from the Centre for Health Protection showed that one imported case arrived from the Philippines. The 39-year-old female had no symptoms and only tested positive while under quarantine in Dorsett Hotel in Mong Kok.
Two other arrivals from Indonesia tested positive at the airport, while the third case from Indonesia tested positive while under quarantine at the Ramada Hong Kong Grand Hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui. The hotel was where Hong Kong’s first local case of a coronavirus variant stayed.
The two local cases were connected to an earlier case in La Cite Noble in Tseung Kwan O. The building was earlier placed under a compulsory testing order.
