Health authorities confirmed two new Covid-19 cases on Monday, both imported, taking the city’s coronavirus caseload to 12,124.

Among the two is a fully vaccinated domestic worker from Indonesia who arrived in Hong Kong on Aug. 28. She received two doses of a Covid-19 vaccine developed by Chinese firm Sinovac earlier in the year.

The other case involves a 20-year-old man from the United States carrying the L452R mutant strain, commonly linked to highly infectious coronavirus variants of concern.

He developed symptoms on Sept. 3, a day after he arrived in a hotel in Tsuen Wan for quarantine.

In the past 14 days, Hong Kong logged 66 Covid-19 cases—all of them imported.
