The death of a Filipina domestic worker found hanging in a room of a flat in Happy Valley some two weeks ago was classified as a suicide, police said Tuesday, albeit no suicide note was found.

A police spokesperson told Hong Kong News that a 75-year-old man reported the death of the Filipina aged 41 in a flat in Greenville Gardens along Shiu Fai Terrace at around 8:09 am on Aug. 19.

When fire service personnel arrived responded to the report, they took the victim down and certified her dead at the scene.

The spokesperson said the woman was facing personal issues and was reportedly unhappy based on preliminary investigation.

An autopsy will be conducted on the victim’s body.
