Filipino domestic worker faces drug trafficking, overstaying charges
A Filipino domestic worker was charged with drug trafficking and overstaying at the Eastern Magistrates Courts on Tuesday.
D. Miswara was accused of trafficking 16 grams of cannabis near the MTR station in Kennedy Town on Mar. 11.
She was also accused of remaining in Hong Kong until Mar. 22, 10 days after her permission to stay lapsed.
No plea was taken from Miswara.
Magistrate Peter Law adjourned the hearings on Miswara’s case to Apr. 7, and the Filipina was remanded in custody.
