HK adds three new imported cases including a Filipina

Health Authorities added three new imported Covid-19 cases in Hong Kong on Wednesday, one of which is a Filipina.

The 36-year-old Filipina Domestic Worker tested positive for Covid-19 while under quarantine at Penny’s Bay Quarantine Centre. She was found with a L452R mutant strain of the coronavirus.

She earlier received two doses of vaccination from CoronaVac in the Philippines on June 16 and July 14.

The Filipina Worker arrived in Hong Kong in Oct. 3 via Cathay Pacific Air CX906 flight. She is currently asymptomatic.

The other cases came from Indonesia and Pakistan. A total of 63 cases have been recorded in the past 14 days, these include a local case with still unknown sources and the rest were imported cases.

Hong Kong now has 12, 276 confirmed cases.
