A wide array of promotional initiatives have been created by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) to attract Hong Kong residents, starting January 13.

The MGTO aims to stimulate the city’s economy while reviving the tourism industry and other related sectors.

Hong Kong residents no longer need to show proof of their Covid-19 result upon their arrival.

Land and sea transportation services will resume between Hong Kong and Macao.

Moreover, the 24-hour border crossing will resume its regular operations at the port of the Hong Kong-Zhuai-Macao Bridge.

Free parking will also be made available at the East Car Park of the Border Checkpoint Building.

The MGTO has partnered with various organizations to increase the number of visitors.

For instance, it will launch the ‘buy-one-get-one-free’ offers for Hong Kong residents where the free return tickets could be used for another day after they buy a shuttle bus or ferry ticket to Macao from Jan. 13 to March 31.

This special offer is to encourage visitors to stay overnight and/or even longer.

Hong Kong-Macao Express, TurboJET and Cotai Water Jet are currently the service operators that have joined the special offer.

Other operators are expected to take part in the scheme.

The MGTO will showcase brand-new promotional videos from online to offline platforms about the latest festivals, events, and monthly highlights.

Visitors may check out MGTO’s website (www.macaotourism.gov.mo/en/) for the latest details and information.
