Three-day Covid-19 vaccination at Shek Lei Estate opens on Thursday

The Government’s outreach vaccination team will open a three-day Covid-19 vaccination service at Shek Lei Community Hall on Thursday.

Beginning Sept. 23 until Sept. 25, (Thursday to Saturday) the three-day vaccination commences from 10:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. the residents of the district, the elderly in particular, will be given priority to receive Sinovac vaccination to build a protective shield in the community.

“Reaching out to the community and focusing on the elderly are the priorities of the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme at this stage. We would also like to learn more about the elderly persons’ thoughts and, most importantly, provides services that can meet the users’ needs,” said Mr. Patrick Nip, Secretary for Civil Service.

The government also reminded, that the persons who are suitable to get the jabs should receive the vaccination as early as possible to reduce the risk of getting infected by the virus.

Today, Mr. Nip, distributed leaflets at Shek Lei Shopping Centre and visited some of the elders living in Shek Lei Estate.

Shek Lei Community Hall is located at 2 Tai Pak Tin Street, Kwai Chung.
