Health authorities confirmed only one Covid-19 casein Hong Kong on Wednesday.

The case involves a 45-year-old woman from the United Kingdom who tested positive for Covid-19 while under quarantine in Wong Chuk Hang.

She was found with the L452R mutant strain of the coronavirus, a Health Department staffer said.

The woman arrived in Hong Kong on Sept. 8. She earlier received two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine from Sinovac last May and had tested positive for antibodies against the coronavirus.

Hong Kong has recorded 12,150 Covid-19 cases to date, while fewer than five people recently tested preliminarily positive for the virus.
