Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray wax figure to be moved in Hong Kong; 40 lucky winners invited to the launch event
Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray announced on her Instagram account that her wax figure, currently in Singapore, will be moved to Madame Tussauds in Hong Kong.
Gray made the announcement on Aug. 16.
Moreover, 40 lucky fans in Hong Kong will be able to join her at the launch event of her wax figure on Friday, Sept. 1.
Madame Tussauds is a wax museum, which was first established in 1835 by French wax sculptor Marie Tussaud in London.
Other major cities also have museums under her name.
Visitors should allot 90 minutes so they can have a fully complete visit at Madame Tussauds museum. They can also touch the figures, get up close and personal with other celebrities, icons, and world leaders so they can have an interactive experience.
Gray’s wax figure was first revealed at Madame Tussauds Singapore in March 2022. She is the first Filipina to have a wax figure there.
Gray is the third public figure from the Philippines to be chosen by Madame Tussauds. The first was Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach. Next, it was world boxing champion Manny Pacquiao. He is the first Filipino male to have a wax figure.
By September 2023, one can see Gray’s wax figure with her winning look: a replica of her red lava gown by local designer Mak Tumang, a sash, accessories, and shoes.
Madame Tussauds wax museum in Hong Kong is the Asian flagship.
