Maureen Montange, 28, who represented the Philippines in the Miss Globe 2021 pageant held at Tirana, Albania, bagged the coveted crown on Saturday.

Montange is the second Filipina to wear the Miss Globe crown after the Philippines won it in 2015. She hails from Batangas.

During the question and answer portion where she was the last woman called for the top 5, she was asked what she thinks about beauty as merit and how can she enrich it with other values?

Montange responded, “I think that true beauty comes from within. To be a Miss Globe is to be a beauty that inspires. What makes us beautiful is our smiles, it is what we do for our community, it is how we give back to others, and it is how we carry ourselves through our lives. I believe that everyone has beauty inside of them, and I believe it is our duty to share it with the world and to give back and to truly inspire others.”

She also sashayed ‘Sampaguita’ during the National Costume competition. Sampaguita is the national flower of the Philippines and is considered a symbol of fidelity, purity, devotion, strength, and dedication. A perfect symbol of a modern Filipina.

She also bagged 2nd place for the swimsuit, head-to-head challenge, and People’s Choice.
