The Philippines bet to 70th Miss World, Tracy Maureen Perez of Cebu, secured a Top 40 spot and will compete in the finals this Mar. 16 in Puerto Rico, after the announcement, was made by the Miss World Organization.

The coronation was supposed to be held in December but was postponed to ensure the health and safety interests of contestants, staff, crew, and the general public.

This March 2022, only the ladies who are part of the Top 40 will be returning to Puerto Rico for the grand coronation night.

Perez is part of the Fast Track Winners after being part of the Top 5 for the Beauty with a Purpose round and winning the Head to Head challenge that secured her spot in the Top 30.

In the social media posts of the organization, Julia Morley and her Miss World Team thanked all the contestants from the 97 countries who have contributed so much to the event this year. Miss World Organization is sad that all the 97 contestants cannot return for the finale, but they are hoping every country will join online on Mar. 16.

The Top 40 will arrive on Mar. 12 in Puerto Rico, where the finals will be held live from the Coliseo De Puerto Rico Jose Miguel Agrelot and will air 8:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. eastern time.
