A Filipino domestic worker sought the help of the police after she lost more than $4,000 in Statue Square in Central on Sunday (September 1).

Janet H. said she suspects a fellow Filipina in their hangout took her wallet and got away with her monthly salary of $4,410.

She said the incident happened at around 10 a.m. while she was with her friends at their hangout in Statue Square, popularly known as “black man” among overseas Filipino workers.

She said the friend who held her bag told her that she did not see any wallet inside the bag when she held it.

Janet added that she was not accusing the friend who held her bag since no one saw her take the wallet.  Janet’s employer reported the incident to the police yesterday (September 2) and was already trying to obtain CCTV footage of the scene of the incident.

“Alam ko kinuha yung wallet ko at hindi nalaglag, at alam ko kilala mo ako,” Janet said, addressing her suspect whom she did not identify.

Janet said she would inform the suspect’s employer if her money is not returned to her.

“Kasi makikita sa CCTV ang mukha mo,” she said, adding that the suspect should call her at 60354790.
