Filipina domestic worker dies by suicide due to ‘money problems’
A Filipina domestic worker burdened with financial difficulties died by suicide on April 21, police told Hong Kong News.
“The deceased is a 44-year-old woman. She is a Filipina domestic worker,” the spokesman said on April 22. “Her boss, a 35-year-old woman, told the police she found her hanging inside the bathroom.”
The police spokesman said they received the call at 9:15 pm. When police authorities arrived at the employer’s residence at Tong Fong Tsuen in Yuen Long, the domestic worker cannot be resuscitated anymore.
“A note was found at the scene,” the police spokesman said. “The cause of the suicide is money problems. She is not happy anymore.”
