A 31-year-old domestic helper was charged with theft at the Eastern Magistracy on Mar. 7 after she was found to have taken boxes of chocolate, coffee, and coffee creamer from a supermarket.

Prosecutors alleged that A. H.U. on Feb. 20 took one box of macadamia chocolate, one can of coffee creamer, one bottle of coffee powder, and one box of milk chocolate from ParknShop.

No plea was taken as prosecutors told Eastern Courts Principal Magistrate Bina Chainrai that they will seek legal advice. The case was adjourned for mention again on March 21.  A.H.U. was allowed to post a $500-bond as bail.
