Arrival from PH among 15 new Covid-19 cases

A 28-year-old woman who recently arrived from the Philippines tested positive for Covid-19, health authorities reported on Saturday.

The Centre for Health Protection reported that the woman had no symptoms. She entered Hong Kong on Feb. 18 via Cebu Pacific flight 5J272, according to government data.

She is among the five imported Covid-19 cases confirmed on Saturday. Three others were from Pakistan while a man who arrived from India also tested positive for the coronavirus.

A total of 15 Covid-19 infections were confirmed today—pushing the city’s coronavirus caseload to 10,849.

The other 10 infections were locally transmitted, with four of them without a traceable source of infection. These include an elderly female retiree, a taxi driver, a private doctor, and a housewife.
