Overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in Hong Kong born within the period of 1957-1959 has until Feb.17,2020 to apply for new Smart identity cards.

The Immigration Department has started the seventh phase of its Territory-wide Identity Card Replacement Exercise on Nov 16, 2019, which will continue until Feb.17 this year.

OFWs should book an appointment as well as pre-fill forms online.

The Immigration Department said that those who failed to apply for a new Smart Identity Card within the period set for them can be penalized with a maximum fine of $5,000.
